An Average Christmas 2010

- Just another average year in Our Home -

Another year has slipped by for our family, and it’s been a pretty average one. We slept, we ate, we worked, we argued, we laughed, and we played. Below we share just a few of the average happenings –

• T averaged 8.1 hours of sleep a night. On week days D averaged 6.7 hours of sleep, He averaged 12.6 on weekends. M 6.2 on weekdays, and 10. 1 on weekends. E 9.3. C 8.4. K 7.9. B averaged 8.2 but needed 10.7.
• Our family consumed an average of 2.9 boxes of cereal each day.
• An average of 8.5 gallons of milk were guzzled each week.
• An average 1.3 loaves of bread disappeared into stomachs daily.
• Weekly, an average of 1.5 jars of crunchy peanut butter disappeared, usually on the bread.
• Dishes sat in the sink waiting to be done an average of 4.7 days.
• An average of 8.3 loads of laundry sat waiting for washing, drying, or folding each week.
• An average of 2.9 evenings a week were spent finishing homework. An average of 1.6 hours were spent after 10pm.
• An average of 7.8 pairs of shoes laid in the entry from 5pm to 7am. 2.1 from 9am-5pm.
• On an average day, 3.7 orthodontic rubber bands, in puddles of spit, littered the kitchen table.
• The family room floor hosted an average of 4.8 dirty socks daily.
• Family members attended an average of 14.2 debate, scouts, soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, swimming and/or wrestling events each week.
• D, M, E and C practiced .57 hours of piano per day. M spent .16 hours on the saxophone.
• An average of .78 choir, band or piano recitals occurred each month.
• An average of 5.6 hours of the week were spent in church related activities.
• An average of 3.8 arguments occurred daily.
• An average 14.8 family group hugs occurred each week.
